Scanning Panoramic Negatives on Expression 1640XL

Postby bison257 » Wed Apr 26, 2006 3:12 pm

We have a large collection of panoramic negatives (3'-5' long, 10" high). Is there a way to override the scanner to keep it from locking when part of the negative covers the left margin of the glass? Covering this area (which is outside of the transparency scannable area) seems to make the scanner lock up. I can move the negative from top to bottom (threading it through the hinge area), but this will increase the number of segments I will have to stitch together. tia.

bison257,

According to the note in the screen capture from Epson below it looks like you would have to modify the hardware or the firmware.
