Photoshop Missing dicelib.dll

Postby jacksain » Thu Apr 28, 2005 10:18 pm

I just installed an Epson 4990 and bundled Silverfast SE6 ver 6.4.1i4b.
I have the latest version of Epson's TWAIN and utility software. I continue to get the dicelib.dll missing error message when starting Photoshop CS.

DICELIB.DLL

Postby jacksain » Tue May 03, 2005 9:57 pm

I would like you to e-mail me the dicelib.dll file.
However, the referenced forum item suggests that the missing dicelib.dll is not a issue with the Epson 4990 scanner. There was no prior scanner installation on this new PC; and it is an issue!

I'm having the same problem, too with my Epson Expression 1600 Pro. I will contact you via the problem report form.

Photoshop Missing dicelib.dll

I finally solved my problem by uninstalling SilverFast and reinstalling The Epson scanner software. SilverFast should face up to this issue.

Copy the dll back

Postby manfredr » Mon Aug 08, 2005 7:54 pm

Hi,
I found a very simple solution for this problem, the missing dll was in my i386 foulder and I simply copied it back, that was it. No stupid errors anymore.
