Photoshop Elements 3.0 Error Message

Postby alecbowman » Sat Apr 16, 2005 1:51 pm

When openning Photoshop Elements 3, I get an error message that the application has failed to launch correctly ("This application has failed to start because DICElib.dll was not found .........")

Although Elements does appear to start if the message is "OK'ed", it is irritating. Can anyone help?

Many thanks

Alec

Dear Alec

did you download and install the latest update release of the Epson TWAIN drivers and SilverFast for your scanner?
If the problem cannot be sorted out with such an update, please don't hesitate to > Support > Contact support to further help you with you problem.

I have just downloaded the latest Epson software, not actually even on the UK web site yet, and my Silverfast SW reports that it is the latest version.

Have had a response from Customer Service which I don't understand as it doesn't appear to address the issuee.g.

"thank you for yor mail. We are not allowed to install the complete Epson driver. To run the scanner with SilverFast, you have to instal SilverFast and the original Epson scanner driver."

Dear users

jacksain had presented <a href="http://www.silverfast.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=12915&highlight=#12915">an alternative solution</a> in another thread in this forum.
