Out of focus prescans

Postby Don Pye » Fri Apr 02, 2004 4:09 pm

Hi Everybody;
Just updated computer (G4) to Panther OS 10.3.3 With Photoshop Elements 2. Silverfast SE with Epson Perfection 2450 firewire. Everything works O.K. except a badly out of focus prescan. The prescan was excellent before I made these changes. (from 9.2 OS) The film carrier is soft as well. It's not the end of the world if I can't fix it, but it is rather annoying looking at these fuzzy prescans. The final scans are great. Thanks in advance for your help.

Dear Don

please download and install the latest update for your version of SilverFast from our website.
You might experience that this already does solve your problem.

If you update a SilverFast SE version, please make sure to pick the correct variant:
- The "Internet SE" is for customers who have bought their SilverFast in our online store.
- The "Bundle SE" is for customers who got a SilverFast CD-ROM bundled with their scanners.

However, if the problem persists, please don't hesitate to contact LaserSoft Imaging support staff: https://www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html
I would appreciate if you could paste a fresh copy of the SF_Logfile in the problem report.
Thanks in advance for your co-operation.

I got SE with my Epson 3200, bundled with Photoshop Elements 2

I downloaded an upgrade to SI and it won't open.

I also have Photoshop 7 and would prefer to open Silverfast through that, rather than through SE, or open Silverfast SI all by itself.

What's my best route to SI?
