Lost communication

Postby Jan Becket » Sat Jun 09, 2007 9:07 am

I just upgraded to 6.5.0r6 and am regretting pushing that "replace" button. My earlier version (r4 I think) only scanned my B&W negs as positives for some bizarre reason, but this new version won't scan anything at all. When I run it (4990 scanner, 4200 dpi, 16-bit grayscale, 4X5 B&W neg) I get a "communication error" message. Weird - I've never seen one of those before.

Meanwhile, SF doesn't function for me at all and I have two exhibits coming up way too soon ... (I'm *so* glad I have v**s**n as a backup).

Dear Jan Becket

the scanner is widely used by many customers. Therefore I am forced to regard the phenomenon you're encountering a singular one.
