IT-8 Calibration

Postby winston.j » Thu Jan 22, 2004 1:10 am

Just updated to 6.2.0r1 and having problems with IT-8 Calibration dialog. Starts up fine but when prescans I receive and error message stating to make sure that the IT-8 mask is properly applied. Triple checked and tried again and again but still pops back to the same error message.[/list]

IT8 Calibration errors

Postby Willem » Sun Feb 22, 2004 9:41 am

Good morning,

The here after stated applies to version Ai V 6.2.0.r4. After a XP Pro register cleaning-up with Register Healer 4.2.0. build 212 from KsL Inc., My 'Epson 3200 Photo' transparent calibration returned the same position errors as discribed in the first topic. How ever, reflective calibration worked fine.

Normally I have the transparent target in the top position of the plastic film holder, neatly positioned on the glasplate as discribed in the manual. Out of a little dispair I decided to slide the film holder a little downward and ran the calibration again. It worked!

Happy with the 'solution' for the time being I wonder now: is there a relation between the register cleaning or is a mechanical position error in relation to software position expectation developing?

I hope this will help a bit.

Greetings,
Willem
