Is Silverfast 6.44r7 compatible with Vista?

Can anyone tell me if Silverfast AI, version 6.44r7 is compatible with 32 bit Vista? The Lasersoft site suggests not (By virtue of it not actually saying that it does!). I intend using version 6 (updated to 6.44r7) which came bundled with my Epson V750 scanner a couple of years ago. I know that the later version 6.6 is Vista compatible. That however, will cost me. I want to make sure I can work with it before go that route.

Version 6.4.4r7 of SilverFast is not Vista compatible, the main reason for this is that version 6.4.4r7 of SilverFast is older than Vista. Of course nothing stops you from trying the combination in question, but for that we can not offer you any support nor guarantee. You might want to try starting the application in xp mode to see if it works.
