how to get the best out of my 4870 ?

Postby ross400iso » Thu May 12, 2005 2:33 am

Hello :-)
i've got Silverfast SE and want to know how to get the best out of my 4870 with it. I've spent a really long time fiddling and trying out different things, but I just cannot get my scans to looks anywhere near as sharp or as vibrant as the slides I'm scanning.
Even with the sharp filter on Silverfast , my 35mm slides looks unsharp ( blur) ...
Can you help me ?
Thank you
J.

J.

Make sure that you have your slides facing the right way, emultion side towards the glass, it can make a huge difference!

You may also try using "GAIN" Vs the unsharp mask.

Good luck!
