Highlights not being captured

Ever since we upgraded to SF 6, the highlight areas of our images have been "dithering" (not sure if that's the right term); not sure how to include an example for people to view (don't have authority to add images to our website). I've calibrated the scanner; not sure what other settings I can change that will fix this. tia. david

OK. I put the pic on my personal website. You may have to "save picture as" & look at it in a viewer to see the detail.
