Help needed in 7 to 10 weeks with SF, Epson 2450 + OS X

Postby ltitle » Wed Jan 15, 2003 3:28 am

I have posted repeatedly, but I am getting desperate as my new 17" PB will hopefully arrive in 7 to 10 weeks, and it can't boot in OS 9. Like others, despite following the instructions on this webpage, I cannot get my PowerBook 667 (VGA precombo drive model) to find my Epson 2450 scanner via FireWire when using OS 10. I downloaded the most recent version of SF Ai, to see if I wanted to upgrade from the bundled SE 5.5 version that came with my scanner. Although the Epson twain will work in OS X, the demo SF Ai cannot locate my scanner. The Epson bundles are located in the appropriate library. While I can scan in OS 9, I will not have that option soon on the 17". Steve Jobs was supposedly referring to Quark (and not SilverFast) when he talked about the laggards not being OS X ready. Your help is greatly appreciated !!!!!!!!
