Expression 1680 with ADF stops scanning after 10 pages

Since a few days I have this problem...
After about 10 pages scanning is stopped (no light on the scanner and no fault notice by Silverfast), so I?ve to turn it off (Silverfast brings up an error-that there is no scanner found) and on again and the game begins again.
Epson changed my ADF two times and now they said that this must be a software problem. I?m using Silverfast AI 5.5 the latest one (Photoshop plugin and the standalone version) with a Pentium 4 1700 Mhz, 512 MB Ram and Win 2000 prof.
I?ve tried 2 other computers, one with USB and the other with a SCSI connection, everytime the same problem...I don?t know what to do ??!!
I would be very glad for some advice !!!

Here is the answer:
SilverFast does NOT support Epson ADF units, and we cannot give any guarranty that scans through this unit will work.
