Expression 1600 Descreening Bug?

Postby ianders1 » Sat Apr 26, 2003 5:26 pm

When I go to preview the decreening on my 1600 (v.6.01r44) it lets me scan, but then when I select any setting other than the one currently selected (i.e. magazine) the preview window goes blank. I actually meant to write about this earlier as it's been a problem for a while now with previous versions of SF 6.

please delete your SilverFast preference files. Delete the entire Prefs folder.

I deleted the folder and it's still not working. Also, I tried it in the TWAIN version (6.01v38) and it appears to have the same bug.

I am afraid Ian,
I checked this on a Windows XP with SilverFast 6.0.1r44.
Selected Descreen (prescan monochrome)
chose 133lpi for magazin = all correct
chose 175lpi forArtPrint = all correct.

No black prescans and the like. What happens is that the right prescan of the descreen dialog turns blank (background color may be black) upon changing the LPI setting until you move the mouse over the large preview again, and get new data for the new LPI setting.
This is normal.
