EPSON V750 Pro, 2 questions

Postby darizonah » Wed Jan 02, 2008 3:38 pm

I am using the Epson V750 and Silverfast AI version 6.5.5r3. Have the following questions:

First, after pre scanning 14 negatives and I look at the top menu of the program, it says Epson Perfection V700, not the V750, is this normal?

Second in using negafix, since all of the negatives are from the same roll, is there an easy way to select all of the frames and say they are Kodak, Gold, 200 or do I have to click on each frame and select each one and tell the program that fact?

If I have to click on each one, does AI Studio offer this feature? Seems to me there should be an easy way to do this, but I am at a loss!

Thanks
Dave

Dear Dave,
-It is normal that V700 is displayed, the scanners are identical on the digital Interface, it is only mechanics / optics where the difference shows ( and final Quality ).

-If you open the first frame and select the correct filmtype, all frames opened afterwards should use that setting.
If you already *have* 14 frames and want to change their settings, you can adjust one frame to use the new desired filmtype and then press and hold the "Alt" Key and single click on all other frames that should get a parameter copy from the first frame. ( This is PC Key-combo, please see manual -> keyboard shortcuts for Mac usage ).

This gets even more comfortable with using the JobManager addon where you can adjust and copy the filmtype and/or Orange mask Parameters selectively from one job entry to others...

Greetings,
