Epson V750 Epson Scan for Reflectives

Hello,
I read a lot of articles here saying the bundled AI software is better at scans than the included Epson Scan software for transparencies and negatives? Does anyone how this applies to reflective photographs? Is the Epson Scan as good as the AI software?
