Epson Perfection 600 drivers for XP

Epson has refused to create any drivers capable of running in XP for this scanner. Customers owning the Perfection 600 need a way to run in XP without having to buy another expensive scanner. Has any software developer taken the 10 minutes it takes to create a driver for this? I did send a suggestion to Microsoft for support on this scanner in Windows XP.
