Epson Perfection 4870 + Silverfast-SE v6.1.0r5

I'm sooo confused. This is a 2 part question.

1. I bought the Epson scanner which came with silverfast and Photo Elements. In order for me to get the best quality of scans, do I use Silverfast or should I use Photoshop CS to import?

2. How do I colour manage the selected software?

Perfect timing!! Download and install the latest version of SilverFast SE for your scanner. We have added a color management method that works perfectly with Photoshop Elements 2.0 or will get you started with Photoshop CS.
