Epson Perfection 2450 Photo and also no Multi-exposure

I got the same problem like kbaerwald (no multi-exposure appearing), but with the Epson Perfection 2450 und Windows 2000 SP4. No changes after switching the desktop layout from user to classic or to standard.

In the meantime, I tried all the things related to graphics problems (screen resolution, color depth, hardware acceleration, desktop effects, anti-aliasing, graphics driver and so on).
The problem persists: I need one mouse click to switch from MS1 to MS2, and from MS8 to MS16 (normal reaction). But I need TWO mouse clicks to swich from MS2 to MS4 and from MS4 to MS8.
Between these two clicks I suppose the ME2 and the ME4 function, but I can't activate it.
Should this topic moved to "Host related problems" ?
