Epson Perfection 2400 identified as GT-9300

Postby honey134 » Wed Nov 13, 2002 10:04 pm

I recently downloaded and installed the demo of Silverfast Ai for the Epson Perfection 2400, and was so impressed that I bought the software the same day. The only odd thing is that the software identifies my scanner as the GT-9300, which is the Japanese name for the 2400. When I received the CD, it as well as my invoice were marked as being for the 2450. Nevertheless, I installed the software (after unistalling the demo) and once again, my scanner is identified as the GT-9300. It seems to work fine. One thing I've noticed is that not only are the scans of better quality with Silverfast Ai, but they are significantly faster than with the TWAIN module, not to mention Smart Panel.

We are getting the scanners name from the scanner itself. That is why the scanner is reported as GT-9300.

Eric.
