Is anyone using the Epson 2400 photo scanner with Silverfast software? I am considering buying this scanner and using it with Windows XP and Photoshop 7 or 8.
I'm interested in any pros or cons learned along the way. Thanks.

Yes I use the Epson 2400 photo scanner with Silverfast
It works perfectly: I use it mainly for scanning black/white negatives and use the SRD function frequently and with fair success.
