epson expression 10000xl can't save to network drive?

epson tech support tells me that this scanner does not allow for saving to a network drive, only to the hard drive. i find this hard to believe, especially since the software has a mode called "office". is this right? has anyone found a work around? why would anyone bother to not allow for this function? i know i can import into photoshop, but when batch scanning many items it is much easier just to save them directly. otherwise, i really like this scanner, but this could be a deal breaker.

Dear sarah,

silverfast is able to safe to a network drive , as long as it is mounted.
But if you are talking about the epson original software someoneelse need to give you some advise.
