Epson 4870 and NOT ENOUGH DISK SPACE

Postby hruta » Sat Jan 29, 2005 4:17 pm

Hello,
after moving Silverfast to my new hardware occurs problem - always after scan a few 35 mm negative or slide film pictures Silverfast stops scaning and says "Not enough space avaiable on the disk". It is of course nonsence because on my PC is free space more than 4GB on each disk. This error appears always in the moment 'RGB: JPEG Batch Scan #X/#Y'.
I use the latest version of Silverfast on PC with mainboard MSI K8N-Neo, CPU Athlon 64 2800, 512MB RAM, Windows XP SP2 in latest version.
I've already tried to delete Silverfast system folder "C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Lasersoft Imaging\SilverFast" without result.

hruta,

Look under options in SilferFast and check the location of your scratch disk to make sure it is in fact on the drive you expect.

It would be helpful if you indicated what bit depth you are using; what the output file sizes of each picture are; and in addition you should get the information from the SilverFast log (C:\Documents and Settings\[Your logon name]\Application Data\Lasersoft Imaging\SF_LogFile.txt).

Hope this helps!
