epson 4180+vista 32 > why isn't there sf ai support?

when can we expect sf ai working with epson photo 4180 under vista (32)?

this is NOT an exotic brand; and NOT a seldom-sold scanner.
working (!) vista 32 drivers from epson exist since more than 12 months; why isn't there any silverfast ai workaround?

btw:
declaring sf ai as "vista compatible" means a lot of scanners from last 2 or 3 years don't work with silverfast products? that's a shame!
