Epson 3170 and SE problem

Howdy, I recently purchased SE for my 3170. It allows me to complete all of the prescan functions great while doing slides. But when I try to actually scan each slide it locks and I get the ole "microsoft has encountered problems etc..." screen and I have to close the program. The Epson software still works. On occasion, SE will let me complete one scan, then on the next it locks. XP, P4 1.6 1 gig ram. Any suggestion. Thanks, Chris

If you haven't done it yet, you want to download and install the latest update for your version of SilverFast from our website.
You might experience that this already does solve your problem.

However, if the problem persists, please don't hesitate to contact SilverFast support: https://www.silverfast.com/problemreport/en.html
I would appreciate if you could insert a fresh copy of the SF_Logfile into the support request form.
