When will support be available for this scanner. SE has support for the 1660, I assume there will be for the Photo version.

Hi Eric

Yes I have tried the SE demo and it doesn't recognise the scanner, I haven't tried the Ai version yet. Epson twain works ok.

This means, that there is something going wrong with the comunication to scanner. We will need to buy a scanner and try. This can take some weeks, sorry  .

I suppose the Epson 1660p is the same as the Epson 1660 Photo, which is a USB 2.0 scanner. This scanner works fine with SilverFast on Windows and MAC OS9.x. On MAC OSX you will need to install additional drivers.

Please let me know:
1. What operating system are you using.
2. In which country did you purchase the scanner.
3. What is the version number of SF demo, which you are using.

Then the scanner should work, at least that?s what they told me at the head office. Did you try the latest version of SE ?

This is the version I downloaded from the Lasersoft site. I assume that is the latest version.

6.0.1r15

I just checked our download site and saw that there is a demo version 6.0.1d17 available. The link is: https://www.silverfast.com/sf-download/310/demo/en.html. I don?t really think that the new version will make any changes, but you could try (its 17 MB !).

There is not so much more, I can do. I would recomment to contact our support at support@silverfast.de to find a solution for your problem. I talked to them today and they told me that the Epson 1660 Photo is working fine. Please mention, that we had contact through the forum and please add a link to this thread.

That's the Ai version, I've been told to try that but I haven't found time yet.

No, that is the demo. At least the product string says: "SilverFast demo for Epson Perfection 1660".

Tried the Ai demo and that works fine, it's just the SE version that doesn't work.
