Epson 10 000 XL Résolution max ?

Postby Karl Grelet » Tue Oct 15, 2013 10:21 pm

I would like to scan photographic prints with the Epson 10000 XL (A3 scanner) to 2400 DPI
It is given for: Effective pixels: 29280 x 41280 pixels at 2400 dpi, 100%
My images are 30 x 40 cms.

if I select the entire work surface, it gives me an error message:
"The size of the image is too large. Reduce the resolution or scale parameter or reduce the size of the area less than 21,000 x 30,000 pixels."

If I switch to 1200 dpi resolution, it works.
In addition, only the resolutions authorize the driver epson are 2400, 1200 dpi etc ... but there is no intermediate resolutions.

Do you think, with Silversfast resolve the problem ? And it can be possible to select others resolution (for example 1600 dpi) ?

Test on a macbook pro 2.0 GHZ / 8 MB RAM / 10.7

thank you in advance

Dear customer,

That is a technical limit in the device.
The scanner can not produce larger images.

kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
