Can someone help me, please.
I have epson 4870 with silverfast 6se. I downloaded from this site, so I have ice-button and it seems to work. but there is no real effect. SRD has effect (pretty good, I think). If ice is as good as said, i think there should be improvment in quality. Am I doing something wrong?

I also have the 4870 with Silverfast SE and ICE works perfectly. The only thing I can think of in your case is that, perhaps, the ICE button is not properly engaged. It would be much better if Silverfast made it plain just what options have been selected. Contrary to what I would find intuitive, ICE is engaged when the button appears slightly more darkly colored rather than when its appearance is lighter.
Epson Scan uses a checkbox for selecting ICE, which makes it perfectly plain. You might try Epson Scan just to make sure ICE is working as it does require a special functioning of the hardware as well. Be assured ICE is quite spectacular in eliminating almost entirely dust, specks and other blemishes actually sitting on the surface of the film.
