Color management with Epson 3200?

Postby aklein3876 » Wed May 28, 2003 5:53 pm

I just installed Silverfast 6.0.2r15 and am using it as a plug-in with photoshop 7 on a mac running OS 9.2.
My question is: does Silverfast SE plug-in have any settings for color management preferences? Do I need to upgrade to Silverfast AI?

You may need to upgrade to the Ai version, as SilverFast SE does NOT have color management settings.

And you probably want to upgrade to Ai with the IT8 calibration feature in order to profilize your scanner.

Please note that you need three things for calibration:
- software that can (Ai with IT8 option)
- target
- reference file

So if you already have a target, please have a look into our download section if you can find the appropriate reference file.
Or screenshot it scanned (full picture!) and send a request with the screenshot to SilverFast support for help.

You can also buy highest quality targets directly from LaserSoft Imaging.
(-> see our web store)

These come with a barcode which identifies the target and thus you can calibrate your scanner with unknown ease.
E.g.: If SilverFast Ai (IT8) cannot find a target's reference file, and an online connection exists, it simply download the necessary file and successfully finishes the calibration.
