I've got SE bundled with a Epson 4990, but,due to lack of batch scanning, only use it when the film's really bad and the epson software can't batch process it properly.
I'd really like batch scanning support, but can't justify $100 to upgrade to full version, does SE plus Support batch scanning ?
Batch Scanning in SE Plus?
Dear dpensox
enhanced features like batch scanning are only implemented in the Ai version of SilverFast, the variant for imaging professionals.
If you are considering to purchase SilverFast Ai, you might want to see the comparative feature list: https://www.silverfast.com/show/compare-ai-vs-se/en.html

Oh, as I suspected really.
To be honest I don't consider batch scanning to be a 'professional function'.
48 bit real-time correction, Multi-sampling, Full Color Management (ColorSync / ICM), 4 MidPip neutral Points (color cast removal), Yes.
Batch scanning, no.
Oh well, I suppose I'll have to stick with Epson Scan.
with regard to the comparison page, could you revise it into a tabulated form, with all the versions of silver fast on it ? Just to make comparisons easier.
Thanks
Dave

Dear Sonny,
No Problem !
Professionals do need to work with large amounts of images, true. However, anybody who owns a film scanner, or a scanner capable of scanning film would also make good use of batch scanning.
Never mind, I've resigned myself to using Epson scan, but I do like Silverfast, maybe I'll upgrade one-day, when I've got over the cost of the scanner !
Keep up the good work
Dave
