Batch Scan file naming

Postby TG » Sun May 18, 2003 8:43 pm

These are some observations I made whilst Batch scanning to file:

1. If there is no name specified in the FRAMES dialog, the name specified in the "Save as" dialog will automatically assigned.

2. If there is a name specified in the FRAMES dialog, it will be used - no matter what is specified in the "Save as" dialog.

3. If point 1. is the case for several or all frames, the scan order seems to be mixed. This means, names will be given automatically in increasing order, but the frames the names will be assigned to will be in some odd order.

This means that either I have to name all frames by hand or re-name them after scanning. Both is not really good. :x

Are there any workarounds?
Cheers! TG

Your observations are mainly correct.
The order in which the frames are scanned is the order in which they were created/activated. You can see the frame numbers by clicking onto the button with the "123" on it (next to the preview; the bottommost button). To change the numbers activate the frames in the order you want them to be scanned (in reverse order - the frame activated last will be scanned as the first frame).

Aah! Activating them in the desired order - that was the point I missed. Thank you!
