Ai6, Epson 2450 crash

I'm running OS 10.2.1. I cannot launch Ai6 within Photoshop or as a standalone app. The program crashes, and shuts down Photoshop. Epson's Scan to File crashes as well.

I installed the Epson bundles in the library/application/epson folder. The apps work fine in OS9.2.2. I'm connected via USB.

Update:

I uninstalled Epson Scan to File, and installed Epson's Twain driver trial from their devepoer site. Problem solved! The driver works with Photoshop AND now Silverfast Ai will launch.
