IT-8 calibration problem with 1DS and 10D

Postby bushfoto » Mon Sep 22, 2003 4:22 am

Have profiled a D1X and have good results, tried to profile 1DS and 10D and ended up with very inaccurate profiles. Target lit evenly using two flashes, balances all corners of image within 2 or 3 points. White balanceed camera. Created profiles and images turned green. White card turned bright green. Target properly aligned, reference file automatically downloaded.

Looking at the profile in colorthink, it is very very uneven and has a very wide gamut, extending beyond the visable area for the 1DS

Please help

More on the problem. I removed all color management by selecting none. Gray Card Image appears brilliant green. Processing the same image through Canon File Browser yields a perfectly neutral image.

We currently change the handling of the colors in DCPro. Your problem should be solved with that version.
We stop to use ICC profiles. We start now to use Whitebalancing. This gave much better results.

kind regards
