When will NegaFix be available in DC?

Postby lynnhealy » Sat Feb 08, 2003 3:58 am

A lot of digital cameras have slide/copy adapters, and there are a lot of third-party version available for cameras that don't. Additionally, there are even more tips available for making your own gadgets for using your digital camera to reproduce 35mm slides and negatives.

The problem is that it's not possible to use NegaFix with the DC version of SilverFast. How can we enable it, or when will SilverFast DC be corrected so that it can be used?

As you can imagine, this would be an extremely useful feature!

Thanks!

I think a lot of people see the slide/copy adapter as a more economical alternative than getting a scanner with a transparency adapter. A LOT of people out there have a lot of negatives to process.

Looking at some of the forums on DPReview, some people seem to be scanning (with their camera) every negative they own.

I, personally, went down the scanner route because I needed a new one anyway, and I noticed that SilverFast produces much more true-to-life colours than the inversion algorythm that's in my camera.

But for some of my friends, the slide/copy thing is definitely the way to go.
