Sorry, but I got a refund on mine, bought an Epson 4870 instead after getting sick of the Canon software falling over.
I've got Canon EOS 35mm and DSLR cameras and they're brilliant. Shame about the scanner....

SilverFast for this scanner might actually be ready quite soon now.

But unfortunately FARE will not but supported from the start.
I hope this does piece of information does answer your question.
