Support for Canon 8000F
I didn't find any info on SF supporting the 8000F model. I take it, from reading some other posts, it's because Canon is hard to deal with. I need a good scanner app, and need to buy it anytime in the next six months. What would you advise me?

Mr. Kivas is absolutely right, Canon software for 8000F is poor, it doesn`t crop film, it slaugters it.
Is there any chance that in some future we could by SilverFast supporting 8000F ? And will it be posible to use full capabilities of 8000F film scaning so that we could scan medium format ?
My regards,
Dusan

Dear Canon users
development for the 9900F and 8000F is well on its way.
Please bear with us a little longer.
Thanks in advance, Sonny

I Don?t mean to be impatient, but I?m really looking forward to being able to use your software with this scanner. Is their any indication yet when it will be available?
Canon 8000F
Hello,
I recently bought a Canon 8000F, and apparently like other owners of this scanner, I am hopeful that SilverFast will soon be available for use.
Is a version of SF still in development for the 8000F? I hope so, and look forward to being able to use your product soon!
Thanks!

9900F-support available - 8000F still in work?
Just wanted to encourage you Silverfast guys: As soon as the 8000F is supported, you can list me as a customer. (In the meantime I'll take the recently announced 9900F-support as a good sign...).

Dear Sony
For one Year ago You wrote in this topic "development for the 9900F and 8000F is well on its way.

Do You need more time or who or which department do we contact by Canon to speed up things?
Tks. in adv.
Regards Carsten

Dear Canon users
unfortunately one needs to be aware that unforeseen issues during development or testing phase can always lead to a decision of abandoning any given project.
This had been the case with the CanonScan 8000F. Quality of transparency scans wasn't up to our standards.
I am sorry for the inconveniences caused.
Please note that the SilverFast versions for similar models from the same manufacturer cannot be expected to work with the above scanner.
However, a SilverFast version for the Canon 9900F could be developed and one for the 9950F is to follow soon
Kind regards
Sonny Noack
