Unable to scan slides
I am using an Epson V800 and SilverFast 8. I am able to scan prints but not slides, either 35mm or 4x5. I use the workflow pilot and the pre-scan shows no image, just white.

Re: Unable to scan slides
Dear customer,
does the lamp in the transparency unit (the lid) light up?
(Be careful it is very bright)
Please make sure that you have removed the cover from the transparency unit.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Re: Unable to scan slides
Thank you Mr. Ketelhohn. I failed to remove the document mat. I now have another issue. My scans appear to be three or four stops under exposed. The preview looks good and this is the case with both prints and transparencies. Any ideas are appreciated.

Re: Unable to scan slides
Dear Mr Curtis,
have you set the scanframes exactly around the image content and did you execute the image adjustment (AutoCCR)?
Or do you set the highlights and shadows manually?
Did you maybe select one of the 48/64 Bit HDR(i) RAW formats?
These are saved without any changes and will appear very dark.
Is the preview also dark?
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
