The resulting scan is too dark in Silverfast 8.8
I used same settings in Silverfast 6.6 and Silverfast 8.8 yet the results differ very much - Silverfast 8.8 are much darker, lacks details. Is there any possibility to have better scans with better balance of dark, white and midtones? Played with histogram for hours, but still could not find the math for scans in Silverfast 6.6. What can be a problem? If I cannot achieve the same good results with newer soft version, I may want to roll back to old one. Please assist. I attached the files with 2 scans

Re: The resulting scan is too dark in Silverfast 8.8
Dear user,
Have you checked the Histogram, if the highlights and shadows are set correctly?
Is your scanner calibrated? Did you maybe use different ICC profiles in the two versions?
Kind regards,
Arne
