Switching to Transparency Turns Picture Black

Postby Maximilian » Mon Oct 04, 2010 8:06 pm

Hi!

I am able to scan normal pictures, but am having trouble scanning negative 35mm film. I choose negative and the correct film type, but when I press "Transparency" the hole Prescan image turns black. I don't know why?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Dear Maximilian,

switching to transparency requires a new prescan.

Also make sure the protective lid of your transparency unit is removed and that any transport safeties are unlocked.

Check the cable for the transparency unit (connecting lid and chassis).
[switch off scanner and remove and reattach the cable]

Make sure the lamp in the transparency unit lites up when you start a scan.

kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Thanks! I had not taken off the protective lid. All fine now.

Cheers,
Maximilian
