Strange selection problem in prescan

Postby Charles » Mon Dec 16, 2002 11:55 pm

I have an odd problem with Silverfast 5.52 MacOS X Photoshop plugin, although this problem is rather generic, I've noticed it with previous versions.

In the prescan, when selecting areas to scan, occasionally I get extra selection areas. Every once in a while, I accidentally make a new selection instead of clicking accurately on an existing selection. I can't figure out how to get rid of these extra selections. Since I can't get rid of them, I just shrink them and drag them over to a corner of the prescan area. But now I'm accumulating more than a few junk selections. How can I delete these useless selection rectangles?

Dear Charles.

1. A click on the trash icon (beside the prescan) deletes the topmost scan frame. Click multiple times to delete all frames.

2. Hold down the shift key (the text of the option button changes to "Reset All") and click the "Reset All" button. All frames will be deleted and a default frame (only one!) will be generated with default settings.

BTW:
Your problem occurs, when you try to resize the current frame and if your mouse (at the moment when the mouse button is hit) is not over an edge of the frame. In this case, you will open a new frame. To delete this new frame, just click the trash icon, this will delete the new frame again.

Eric.
