SRD problem with SF SE+

Postby bcaron » Thu Aug 21, 2008 1:29 pm

Hello,

I'm new with SF and I'm trying to remove scratches using SRD features.

I configure SF to remove scratches without using iSRD (my slide is Kodachrome) and I click on eliminating cratches and... (I suppose In french it is : Elimination des poussière et des rayures).
Using pre-visualisation it's very fine. I start the scan (no filter, standard, 1 pass) but the final result differs slightly ftom the pre-visualisation : the scratches are not removed or not as good as previsualisation. It seems that iSRD is applied in the place of the other option. When I return to iSRD parameters, ISRD is enabled instead of "Elimintating ...".
Is there a bug or a limitation due to the SE version or an error from me ?

Bernard

Dear Bernard,

iSRD errors are very distinct and produce effects we call ice artifacts.
These look like black triangles and are easy to recognize.

It is very difficult to tell where the problem originates without seeing the result.
There might be an alignment problem.
Or did you change the resolution after selecting the SRD settings?
It is also possible the update to 6.6.0r2 disturbed your settings in which case you might want to delete your preference files.
You might want to consider contacting our support trough the support assistant.
The support assistant makes some general suggestions to solving problems and offers a contact to our support system if that did not help.
There you will also find a description on how to delete preferences on different operating systems.
If you contact us that way we will also be able to get some "private" information like your serial number, example images and logfiles which should not be posted in an open forum.

kind regards
