Source of selections in Profiles for ColorSync -> Inter

I am using SilverFast 5.5 and am trying to set up the color management parameters in the CMS screen. Under the Profiles for ColorSync -> Internal I would like to use Adobe RGB (1998) but the selection is not included in the list. I have no idea what directory in Windows to place the the Adobe RGB (1998) profile, or what I have to do to have it added to the selections I can use.

I have also had problems getting the final scan in Photoshop 5.5 being about an F-stop too dark. I believe I have set the gamma on my screen correctly and am wondering if I missed setting something somewhere.

The folder with the ICC profiles in Windows systems is the "Color" folder.
usually inside the System32 folder (System folder in Win98).
