Using a Epson V600 scanner and just downloaded and install Silverfast SE 8, both 32-bit and 64-bit appear to have been installed. Computer operating on Windows 7, 16 Gb of RAM. Image editing programs: Photoshop Elements 11, Photoshop CC and Photoshop CC 2014.
Using in all the mentioned Photoshop programs, File > Import > Silverfast. After setting the parameters of the scan, Prescan followed by Scan. At the conclusion of the Scan and image imported into Photoshop program in use, Silverfast stops with message, "A program caused the program to stop working correctly."
I have used Silverfast 5 for years. Version 8 appears to be a nice improvement. But for each slide scan, I must reopen via File > Import.
Any clues what is stopping Silverfast after each scan?

Re: Silverfast is Stopped After Single Scan
Dear customer,
Please check the memory allocation of Photoshop and SilverFast.
Photoshop can be set to reserve a lot of memory which might not leave enough free RAM for SilverFast.
The message you get is common for such a conflict.
The file import in deed has to be reopened for each scan.
If you want to scan a series of images please start SilverFast stand alone and open the images from disk.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn
