SilverFast 8.exe has stopped working

SilverFast 8.exe has stopped working
I'm using the latest version SIlverFast 8.0.1r26 in Win 7 x64. Whenever I try to scan at 7200dpi using Multi-Exposure, iSRD, and AACO, the program crashes at the "processing" stage. If I disable iSRD but keep the other tools, the scan will proceed successfully. The problem is that I need all these tools. Resetting SilverFast in the Service Dialogue does not help. My scanner is Plustek OpticFilm 8200i. Thanks for your help.

Dear customer,
How much memory does your system have installed?
In the SilverFast preferences' general tab you will find the possibility to assign more memory to Silverfast.
Here you will also find the possibility to define the location for the temporary files.
In case you have a second hard drive installed please try moving the temporary files there.
Simply create a new folder on the other drive, select it here and restart SilverFast.

Using a network location to store temporary files did not work. However, using an external USB drive did work. That seemed to solve the problem. Thanks!
