Hi,
This is propably an extremely stupid question but I'm new to all this and the Silverfast manual doesn't make me any wiser.
I'm using the Epson V800 and Silverfast SE8.
I want to scan black and white negatives but I don't know which option to choose from. Transparency, negative...so far so good, but the next step is not clear. When I scan in HDR or HDRi I get a negative image and not a positive one.
So, what mode should I ideally use? I read that scanning in colour gives more contrast.
Thanks for the advice!

Re: scanning black white negatives
Dear customer,
The standard setting would be 48->24.
The HDR(i) RAW formats are unprocessed archive formats for processing in SilverFast HDR Studio.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
