hello,
I'm testing the demoversion of AI. I wonder why is the *.tiff output to CS2 very noisy. The prescan is clean.
Do you have any explaination?
with best regards

Re: scan noiy prescan OK
Dear Jean3,
As long as you do not change it, the pre-scan only scans at ~100dpi '(depending on scanner model).
The endscan normally is done at a much higher resolution.
In this case the natural noise which occurs in the scanner sensor is much more visible.
SilverFast offers two tools to reduce noise MultiScan, which repetitively scans an image to reduce noise.
And MultiExposure (available in SE Plus and Ai Studio), which reduces noise and enhances the dynamic range of an image.
kind regards
Arne Ketelhohn
