I am new to using this software. Everything seems to work OK, up until the point it completes the scan for black and white negative. Instead of showing the picture, it appears it is showing a film holder. There was one time, it scanned the picture, but it wasn't edited, just a raw version of it. I don't know what I did differently there. Otherwise, I am getting the attached image. I am using Silverfast 8 with an Epson V800. See the attached "raw" picture that worked once, and then see what is happening. I have spent 5 hours trying to figure this out. I'm about ready to give up on this and just use Epson Scan which I know very well. I really like the features of this software, but I don't know why it won't show the correct area. Thanks

Re: Scan area isn't scanning correct area
Dear user,
please deactivate the iSRD infrared scratch and dust removal. The scanner's infrared channel unfortunately can not penetrate the silver halide emulsion of B&W film. You can switch to the software based SRDx instead.
Kind regards,
Arne
