I just switched to 8.0.1r3 from 6.6. Bumped into the batch numbering problem right away and I understand that's being addressed, so I'll be patient.
The other issue I saw is that there are only three options for file outputs: PSD, jp2, and tiff. Is jpeg no longer an option? I tried jp2, but the ouput is not recognized by my editor (ACDSEE pro5).

Re: Save File Formats - where's jpeg?
Dear customer,
the available file formats depend on the chosen output option.
For example is JPG can only contain 24bit data and is deactivated for 48bit and HDR(i) files.
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
