Hello.
My english is not the best but I will try.
I have to install the Microsoft Windows XP again on my computer. Up to now Silverfast 6.5 worked fine. Can I save a file of the actual Silverfast preferences so that I can copie the saved file to the new installed Silverfast version?
Thanks,
infors.

infors,
Though I doubt this is an officially supported method, you may try making a copy of the Prefs folder and using the contents to replace the Prefs folder of the new installation. If this does not work, or causes problems all you will need to do is to delete the new Prefs folder entirely and when you start SilverFast a new one will be created.

infors,
Are you looking at C:\Documents and Settings\[Your logon name]\Application Data\Lasersoft Imaging\SilverFast\Prefs
When you start SilverFast it will create this folder with several files related to Prefs. Try doing a search on SF*.prf to see how many files are located and where. There should only be two files in the documents and settings folder. (DO NOT DELETE THE OTHERS FOUND)
