1. Ai6. Under Profiles For ICM:GRAY, my only choices are NONE and BlackWhite. How can I find and input other profiles such as Generic Gray or Gamma 2.2?
2. Ai6. During IT8 Calibration, when I save a profile using a name other than SF_..., it is not available in the profile popup list.
3. Having downloaded a demo of HDR Studio, I seem to get better results importing a 48bit HDR file from Ai6 & using this program for my corrections than using Ai6 directly. Should this be?
4. The downloaded documentation mentioned a future flagship release to be called HDRStudioPro. Prior to purchasing HDR Studio, I would like to know the following:
a. If I change my system from the PC to the Mac, will I be able to utilize the same purchase?
b. When the future HDRStudioPro becomes available, will there be an updating charge?

Dear uninformed
(1) ICM profiles are put under Windows XP in /WINDOWS/system32/spool/drivers/color
(2) As long as the profile could be written correctly and had been placed in the above mentioned directory, it should come up in the dropdown list.
(3) Results should be identical. Using the "scanning HDR mode with Ai, then doing adjustments in HDR" approach does offer greater flexibility in your work flow and the opportunity to generate differently adjusted images later-on very quickly.
(4) Which documentation is that? There is no such thing as SilverFast VARIANT Studio AND Pro.
If there was ever one to be, this would be an upgrade to HDR Studio, but as I said: nothing in the pipeline, yet...
Generally, having purchased any version of SilverFast enables you to download both, Windows and Macintosh version.
If available for your OS, you can also use TWAIN and Photoshop plug-in variant.
If you want to switch for Win to Mac, simply download the Mac version then. Happy scanning
