Problem with Scanning

Hi

I am on a PC using Windows XP, Epson V700 scanner and Silverfast Ai V 6.5.1r2. I have been having intermittent problems with scanning. During scanning of prints or negatives, sometimes "Scan" will not happen. Prescan works ok.

I have scanned using Epson Scan without problems so I dont think its the Epson V700 scanner that is causing the problem..

Sometihing is causing the sytem to lock up. Silvefast Ai Scan just sits there and no scanning of the print or negative occurs.

I have to turn my computer off and restart it. Even then, the Scan mode doesnt work at times.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
