Hello,
I'm new to Silverfast 8. I've been unsuccessfully trying to calibrate my scanner (Plustek 120) with the IT8 card that came with Silverfish Ai Studio 8. After the prescan it tells me that IT8 Calibration succeeded with DeltaE = 1.6 and I click OK. Then the original IT8 calibration window says "Error: Can't activate ICC profile!". I've tried this about 20 times. Once or twice it has asked me to save the ICC profile, which I have done, before it gives me the same error message. When I've checked in Library/ColorSync/Profiles, none of the ICC profiles I have saved are there. Can you help?
Thanks,
Judith

Re: Problem with IT8 calibration ICC Profile
Dear Judith,
Please make sure that you are logged in as an administrator.
A standard user would not be allowed to save the ICC profile because it has to be placed in a system folder.
On a Mac try repairing the disk permissions using the OS X disk utility.
On a Windows machine check the security software.
It might try to protect the system folders.
In such a case the easiest thing to do would be to temporarily deactivate the anti-virus software.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
